1. Who we are
Family Baking Club is a trading name of Peace Of Cake Ltd, a company run by Hayley Fellows and Adam Fellows, trading as Family Baking Club.
Trading address: 17 Dudley St, Sedgley, Dudley DY3 1SA Email: hello@familybakingclub.com
In these terms, "we", "us" and "our" mean Family Baking Club. "You" means the person placing the order.
2. What you're buying
Family Baking Club is a monthly subscription. Each box contains pre-measured dry ingredients, a recipe card, a baking tool, a collectible badge and conversation cards.
Boxes are designed for children to bake alongside an adult. You will need to supply a few basic kitchen essentials and the fresh ingredients listed for that month's bake, such as butter and eggs.
The contents of each month's box are chosen by us and vary month to month. Images on our website are illustrative.
3. Price and payment
- Your first box is £19.99.
- Subsequent boxes are £24.99 per month.
- Delivery is included in all prices.
- The £19.99 introductory price is available once per customer.
Payment is collected by card on the 1st of each month. Your first payment is taken when you subscribe. If you subscribe after the 15th, you will be sent next months box from this payment.
We may change our prices. If we do, we will give you at least 30 days' notice by email before the new price applies, and you may cancel before it takes effect.
There is no minimum term. You can pause, skip a month or cancel at any time from your account.
Changes must be made before the 1st of the month to apply to that month's box. Changes made on or after the 1st will apply from the following month, as your payment will already have been taken.
To manage your subscription, sign in to your account at https://familybakingclub.com/account/login
5. Delivery
Boxes are posted by the 15th of each month. Full delivery information, including areas we deliver to and what happens if a box goes missing, is set out on our Delivery page.
6. Your right to cancel
Under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, you have the right to cancel within 14 days of receiving your box, without giving a reason.
Please note the following legal exceptions, which apply to some of what we send:
- Sealed food items cannot be returned once opened, for health and hygiene reasons.
- Perishable goods are not covered by the 14-day right.
Unopened, sealed items and non-food items such as baking tools may be returned within 14 days. Full details, including how to cancel and how refunds are calculated, are on our Cancellations & Refunds page.
Cancelling a subscription and cancelling an individual order are different things. Cancelling your subscription stops future payments and boxes; it does not automatically refund a box already paid for.
7. Allergies and food safety
Our boxes are prepared and packed in a kitchen where nuts and other allergens are handled. Although we take care when preparing and packing, we cannot guarantee any product is completely free from traces of allergens.
Every ingredient we supply is individually labelled with a full ingredients list and allergens shown in bold. Full allergen information for each month's box is published on our website before you order.
If you or your child has a food allergy or intolerance, please check the allergen information carefully before purchasing and before baking. It is your responsibility to check this each month, as ingredients change.
Our food hygiene rating is 5/5.
8. Supervision and safe use
Our recipes involve ovens, hobs, hot surfaces and sharp or small items. Children must be supervised by an adult at all times while baking. Baking tools are not toys and some contain small parts. Please keep them away from children under three.
You are responsible for deciding whether a recipe is suitable for your child.
9. If something's wrong
If your box arrives damaged, incomplete or not as described, email us at hello@familybakingclub.com within 14 days and we'll put it right — normally by replacing the box or the missing item, or refunding you.
10. Our liability
Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be limited by law.
We are not liable for losses that were not foreseeable, or for losses arising because you did not follow the recipe, the safety guidance, or the allergen information provided.
Your statutory rights as a consumer are not affected by these terms.
11. Accounts
You are responsible for keeping your account details secure. You must be 18 or over to place an order.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The version that applies to your order is the one published when you placed it. Material changes affecting your subscription will be notified by email.
13. Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and disputes may be brought in the courts of England and Wales.
